The plan is expected to outline how directed energy weapons could be used in network centric warfare, strategic deterrence, combat, stability operations and homeland defense. The effort also will span all the services and the defense agencies to include technology demonstrations, applied and basic research and the development of a comprehensive approach to the use of directed energy.
